From March 21st to the 24th of 2019, Los Angeles Fashion Week powered by Art Hearts Fashion returned to one of the most historic and regal venues in the city, The Majestic Downtown.
This season, Art Hearts Fashion showcased some great fashion, from urbanwear and avant-garde designs to glamorous gowns and rock-star chic outfits. This season, LAFW also made fashion meet cinema by having a special partnership with Lionsgate for the new Hellboy Movie (coming to theaters on April 12th). Hellboy actor Daniel Dae Kim came to attend the shows and presented the new Hellboy trailer, as well as the “Hot as Hell” themed runway show by Mister Triple X.
Every season, they partner with a charity. This season Los Angeles Fashion Week worked with Make-A-Wish and helped the little Mira (8 yo) accomplish her dream of being a model.
Designers, celebrities, artists, buyers, and industry leaders gathered in DTLA for the most fashionable and inclusive event of LA Fashion Week.
In the course of 4 days, Art Hearts Fashion offered over 30 runway shows highlighting cultural diversity and inclusion. Art Hearts Fashion sets itself apart by partnering with charities and raising funds and awareness for different causes. This season, Art Hearts Fashion and Make-A-Wish® worked together to grant a life-changing wish for 8-year-old Mira whose wish was to become a model. “Mira’s wish will be an ongoing source of confidence, strength and joy to help her through whatever challenges come her way,” said Shaina Reeser, Director of Entertainment and Sports Relations at Make-A-Wish America. “Thanks to the support of Art Hearts Fashion, Mira will forever know what it’s like to be a runway model – something her and her family will never forget.” Recognized by the city of Los Angeles for being the largest running fashion week on the West Coast, Art Hearts Fashion brought once again artistry and inclusivity to the forefront of fashion. “LAFW is all about celebrating the art and power of fashion” said Erik Rosete, Founder and President of Art Hearts Fashion. “Being inclusive and having such diversity ranging from models with disabilities, plus size models, different ethnic backgrounds and having designers from all over the world is what makes Art Hearts so unique”. From Rene Tyler’s plus size collection, Ricardo Seco’s showcase celebrating the Mexican city of Tepito, the fresh eye of 2001 label’s young designers (Carmen Weiss, Dani Arensdorf and Zoila Ortega), to the avant-garde styles of Kentaro Kameyama & Candice Cuoco and the glamourous gowns by Willfredo Gerardo & Glaudi by Johana Hernandez, Art Hearts Fashion offered the most diversified schedule of designers and artists.
